Privacy
The planner runs on your machine and reports nothing back. This site has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. The one thing it stores is a build you explicitly choose to share.
The desktop application
Last Epoch Building runs entirely on your computer. Builds, settings, and imported characters are files in the folder you extracted it to. Nothing is uploaded while you plan.
The application contacts the network in only three situations, all of them started by you:
- Checking for a new version, and downloading it if you accept
- Importing a character, which fetches from the game's own services or from a planner link you paste
- Sharing a build, described below
Sharing a build
When you share a build, the encoded build is uploaded to this site and stored under a random key. The link you get back is the only way to reach it, and it is not listed anywhere, but anyone who has the link can read the build. Treat a share link as public.
What gets stored is the build itself: the tree, the gear, the skills, the configuration, and your notes. If you typed something into the notes tab, or imported a character whose name is carried in the build, that travels with it. Nothing about the person uploading is stored: no account, no IP address, no browser or client identifier, and nothing that links two uploads to each other.
Shared builds are kept so that old links keep working. If you want one removed, open an issue on the tracker with the link and it will be deleted.
Build links created before this site existed point at bytebin.lucko.me, a third-party service, and are still readable there. New shares do not go to it.
This website
The pages are static files. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no embedded fonts or scripts from other companies, and the site sets no cookies of its own.
Hosting is Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare Workers. As the operator of the servers, Cloudflare processes each request, including the requesting IP address, in order to deliver the page and to protect the service. That processing is Cloudflare's, under their privacy policy, and it may set a security cookie of its own. No request logs are kept by this site.
Links that leave this site
Downloads are served by GitHub, and the support links go to GitHub Sponsors, Ko-fi, and Buy Me a Coffee. Once you follow one of those, that company's own privacy policy applies. No payment ever passes through this site, and no payment details are visible to it.
